30 min	Follow up on Entity Management and MM SIG discussion	Jennifer Eustis Charlotte Whitt Felix Hemme Raegan Wiechert	Report on discussion at MM SIG after last week's PC meeting and next steps Felix reports that MM would prefer to have Entity Management a subgroup of MM example: ERM started as a subgroup of RM as well, so things can evolve the Community should have the option to get involved Laura is actively searching for people interested, no feedback so far Charlotte suggest to start a wiki page Laura: there is already a linked data wiki page - we should be careful to not confuse people Linked Data Interest Group Laura will reach out to Alvaro Lopez to help organise the pages in the wiki Felix: another observation is that there is no good information flow back from subgroups to MM SIG a regular update would be needed there was the idea of an Inventory oversight committee not clear what the scope is and how long this would need to exists Inventory and Quickmarc should stay in MM but MM is open for other SIGs to provide input mod-search, everything related to MARC, SRS some things were developed without SME input, so the SIG should check for gaps Data import and export: MM will need to coordinat efforts to stay up to date, no matter whether it will be own SIG or subgroup Jennifer: for data export there is no active work; PC or MM could talk about whether a working group is needed we should gather feedback from Data import members Felix agrees Bulk edit manages data across FOLIO Jenn: for Data import there is another group formed, no pecific convener and no PO run working group group by users we need to understand what people get out of these groups User support group has a slack channel and a wiki page: Data Import Lab Sessions in different other SIGs there are assistant POs - question: would that be a way to help MM SIG manage all the different groups and topics? SME co-convener would be another option that was already discussed Alexis: are there concerns about size and scope of MM SIG? Christie: had many discussions around size and scope - there are no definite answers development is often happening in a black box Laura agrees Felix in chat: +1 Christie -- MM has been a mainly informative SIG for quite some time now. Jennifer: feels disconnected from development that is happening for Inventory ("where are we on the roadmap") Felix: conveners can only aske for topics that should be discussed can only schedule topics and try to start discussions define requirements and create Jira tickets maybe a person is needed that is more connected to the PO (PO assistant) question: how do we get things delivered that we need urgently Jennifer: mybe MM can prioritze what is needed and communicate back? Charlotte: MM SIG could follow different Dashboards for e.g. Poppy all Inventory development is not happening in a blackbox, but can be followed in Jira Christie: some tickets got stuck in Jira how can we raise awareness? better communication is needed question: what is the role of MM Active information sharing seems to be key Ian: PC and SIGs have no control over what is developed community can give feedback on whether development is done as it is needed Charlotte in chat: There is a new slide deck with ”Q” release high lights:	Laura E Daniels to reach out to Alvaro Lopez to help organise the linked data wiki page and new Entitiy Management pages Entity Management will be a subgroup of MM

If there’s enough meetings for each MM related PO to rotate in on a twice per release basis and present or some similar schedule then it seems like the only reason to spin off smaller groups if for when a PO needs feedback (which they will use or not) and when users want in depth support and start something like a lab

I agree with Felix and Jennifer. We frequently return to the same conversations in MM SIG because development is lagging as Jennifer said. It would be good to understand what the long term vision and goal of the project is.
