Cate: Locations

  • We discussed set up of locations. Locations CRUD is in Settings > Organization > Location setup (four levels: institutions, campuses, libraries, locations). Do we need to rename lowest level of locations (location)? Better Shelves?

  • Second, we discussed a new feature in the CRUD: Location code and name configuration. This feature uses tokens to determine what elements to include in display. Most seemed to feel the CRUD would be adequate. For larger sites scripts would be needed to populate the schema.

  • Last, Cate mentioned new way locations and service points relate. If more than one service point relates to location, one must be set as primary.
