Notes

  1.  Emma: Overdues:

Emma presented us with 4 options:

We all agreed that Options 3 and 4 should be eliminated.

What is the “end of the day” or the “beginning of the day” in the loan policy description?  We need to clarify language.  The calendar folks also need to be part of this discussion.  There are some examples like equipment that need to be returned when the library is still opened.  Flexibility is also key here because different service points may have different rules.  Grace periods do not display for the public.  Closed library vs closed service point was discussed – is the calendar by service point?

  1.  Anya: Tags:  Anya took us through her Powerpoint on Tags.  These are not notes or custom fields.  They can be filtered.  Permissions will allow people to have different powers over deleted and adding them.  We all agreed that this was very interesting but there were very few tags that would be RA specific.
