  1. Bulk deleting items records (UXPROD-3706 )

    • "There is an urgent need for bulk delete of item records"

    • Charlotte clarified that all dependencies have been identified - update to slide.

    • Desired functionality - allow user to save list to be affected in a csv format so the records will be saved locally.

    • Export manager will save jobs.

    • Question: What happens to circ stats on items that have circulated and are deleted?

    • Magda asked if this would be a satisfactory implementation? - Records are deleted permanently, before warning "are you sure" with preview. Records can be downloaded. - These would follow same dependency checks as Inventory UI.
      - Jacquie likes the storing of the log file.
      - Charlotte asked if reason for failure could be given in Export Manager - Magda said "yes" - she showed mock-ups with this behavior. Example:

      - Positive feedback given.
-The error list would go to the Export Manager

"Magda mentioned scheduled jobs.  Which version of FOLIO did we get scheduled jobs in?  Sorry I missed that!" – Jacquie Samples

  2. Bulk edit inventory item records in CSV approach (UXPROD-3707)

    • CSV approach - User downloads a csv file, make modifications, upload corrected file.

Questions: Is this way of updated Inventory Item desired or should another option of adding fields to in app (Bulk Edit app) approach be considered?
-Jacquie - CSV is a "workaround" because it is not inside of FOLIO. Prefers that this happens in the Bulk Edit app. Would help avoid data corruption.
-Magda - not "either or" for long-run - just current prioritization. - Is worth waiting for Nolana
-Most people would like to wait for work to be done in Bulk Edit app.
-Group agreed that work on in app approach should be continued.
