Announcements

  • We are looking for volunteers who could take over the SIG convenership on an interim basis from end of May till mid July. Please contact Felix and/or Raegan.

  • Many of the developers are located in Eastern Europe. We've been told that everyone is safe and some have been relocated. Be aware of what is going on some of the development work may be slowed or halted.

PC update

No PC meeting this week. The meeting is dedicated work on the ROAD map planning. Information will be shared soon.

Release Notes/Changes

@Jennifer Eustis

MM SIG Release Note & Other Highlights.

Bugfest: The kickoff meeting is Monday. PO's will be writing tests all through next week. Some of the development teams have been writing end to end tests based on the UI. This means that we can begin to retire some of the very old tests. Ann-Marie will be cleaning out tests for Data Import. One of the challenging things for bugfest is when people change the HRID settings. Once you set up FOLIO for your library and migrate existing records, this setting will be done once unlike bugfest.

Check list per app

@Charlotte Whitt

@Khalilah Gambrell presented yesterday at the Product owner meeting a DRAFT doc with a checklist, where all product owners are asked to fill in requirements for each of our apps (e.g. Inventory, Data Import, Data Export, Bulk edit, MARC authority control) - link to the doc:  Performance and Scalability requirements overview and checklist

Here link to Types of tests

These draft requirements use bullet points to determine performance and scalability. Some points can be filled in by the PO. Others should have a discussion in terms of the community expectations.

Please add comments and questions to both the requirements and Test Examples documents.

Question: Upload large number of records. Does this mean by data import or through the API? It would be great to get clarity on that to be able to assess the performance and make sure everyone is referencing the same thing.

There was an older document on requirements - Performance requirements (SLAs) for daily operation of the FOLIO system. Will this newer document replace that one? Charlotte will ask Khalilah.

These wiki pages have a comment section that can be used.

Other

Could we go back to the hour time slot rather than 1.5 hr? Let's discuss this to see if it makes sense.
