Nolana PO Update | Charlotte Whitt | A look at Inventory Nolana update. Link to slide deck. Some new development teams have been formed. Charlotte is PO for Sif, Thor, and Prokopovych. Charlotte introduced the Sif and Prokopovych teams - see slides. Nolana was released yesterday. The slides have what has been released in Nolana. There has been new work on search and filter enhancements especially to search on notes or administrative notes. There have been Bound-with enhancements to add the accordion. Many bug fixes and non functional requirements have been worked on. There are also many new test scripts (or daily automatic tests that are run). Orchid: Planned work includes tech debt, more bug fixes, enhancements. See slides for details. Demo in Bugfest Nolana and FOLIO Snapshot Does the workflow require that holdings type be bound-with? No the type is independent. The holdings type of bound-with isn't set automatically when the relationship is created. The HRID and uuid are now searchable in the keyword search (Nolana). Upcoming features for 2023: Mark instance for deletion (Poppy) ; Add related instances data element (Poppy) ; Deletion: enable user to delete a metadata record (Queen Anne's Lace); Hierarchical result list (Rocket?) Has there been a discussion of going to 2 releases? There haven't been discussions that people know of. However, this seems like a good idea because there is so much going on. In reality the weeks for development are too short with 3 releases. Another issue is that libraries tend not to be on the newly released upgrade. Many libraries right now are on Lotus or even Kiwi. We need to scale it down to stop maintaining 3 or 4 versions. This would lesson the burden of managing permissions. Happy Holidays! |
