UXPROD-4471 - Data Import - Remove step of initial saving of incoming records to SRS

• Expected to improve DI performance

• Update scenarios should benefit

• Adds incoming record tab in import log

UXPROD-4303 - Set instance/bib record for deletion

• Adds instance level action (3rd pane) “set record for deletion”

• New permission - Inventory: Set records for deletion

• Soft delete only for instance/MARC for initial release - more to come in future releases

  • SRS - suppress from discovery is set to true (field in SRS that says deleted=true, previously only used for specific API calls), deleted set to true, LDR 05 = d

  • Looking into this now. C edit instance and SRS still, can manually undo most aspects of the action.

Announcements: April SIG reports: - all updates to be added by EOD.

The newly hired FOLIO Developers Advocate started Monday this week. Jeremy Huff will be his mentor.

Upcoming PC election in June 2024:

Need to recruit folks to run for seats! Each PC member to reach out to potential new candidates.

Terms ending June 2024:
Gang Zhou (Shanghai Library) - eligible for re-election
Paul Moeller (U of Colorado Boulder) - eligible for re-election
Owen Stephens (Knowledge Integration)
Alexis Manheim (Stanford Libraries) - eligible for re-election
Martina Tumulla (hbz, Cologne)

WOLFCon proposals:

78-79 proposals by now. Still room for adding new proposals. Final deadline is end of April.

Question

• Pre-conference and workshops - will they be published ahead of agenda for travel planning purposes?

  • Extra fee for preconference sessions. Will review soon and will be added to registration link (next two weeks or so). Many proposed and not room for all.
