Ramsons UAT Review: Canceled LCCN, Searching & Data Export

  • 6 participants total who completed form and share feedback

  • Covered mapping canceled LCCN field in Data Import and Inventory, in addition to updates to suppressing MARC fields in Data Export

  • No showstoppers reported

  • Under investigation: if 010$z will only match on one $z and if so if it will always be the first one

Inventory & MARC authority search: LCCNs

  • No reported issues, participants appreciated normalization, particularly removal of spaces

  • Request to eventually support a separate index for Canceled LCCN

Data Export: Suppressing MARC fields from exports

  • No issues reported

  • Question: Why is suppressed 999 ff separate from other fields? Allows libraries to suppress other 999 fields that are not FOLIO generated

Suggested Enhancements:

  • a drop down or radio button would be preferred for choosing which fields to suppress

Upcoming MM UAT schedule:

  • Publication Place Search, Related Titles navigation, Bulk editing FOLIO Instances , & second pass on OCLC 035 normalization (July 19th-August 2nd)
