Announcements: PC Updates, Others?
| Workflow functionality discussed at PC, trying to figure out how to move forward with development. Workflow functionality wasn't ranked high on gap analysis/priority list. Index Data has been exploring how to incorporate workflow into FOLIO. Mike Gorrell has been exploring an open source product, Camunda. Discussion is going to continue at the next meeting. One point of discussion is what needs to happen centrally, in the workflow functionality, versus in individual apps. Several people will be out August 3 so the meeting will be cancelled. Kristin will be out August 17 so Eric will convene the meeting. | |
Acquisitions Small Group: update and checkin
| Group is growing a bit, still comfortable with the size. Is there a way to keep up with the topics that are being discussed? It's a good idea but they haven't taken this approach because while they usually have topics they intend to cover but they often end up having to address other topics (putting out fires). Dennis will create a slack channel to put up the topics for the coming week on Thursday after their meeting. May be able to address questions on Friday. We'll seeĀ how this goes and then reevaluate. | |
User Acceptance Testing, round 1 (UAT) Feedback Acquisitions hardcoded list values: continue discussion See https://discuss.folio.org/t/acquisitions-hardcoded-list-values/1937 | UAT Testing 10 people surveyed representing 6 institutions. Identified 7 general issue themes. 9 metadata issues also identified. Collected browser preference, Firefox (66%) preferred over Chrome (33%). Chrome is recommended for the first benchmark in development because it's the most functional browser. Firefox is heavily used in Europe. General Issues identified:
