 Announcements

• Check out the demo of Agreements in the ERM Subgroup Meeting

• ERM update at the Product Council yesterday

• No meeting on Friday, November 23

• Charleston Conference: any discussion/updates?

ERM update:

• K-Int continuing to work on ERM

• Rename mod-ERM to mod-Agreements; focusing on modular nature of FOLIO; doesn't change functionality

  • Agreements brings together license, package information, usage, acquisitions information - resource management

• November 27: prototype will be presented to VZG board

• Potentially demo Agreements on November 30, depending on development

• Major decisions made by ERM subgroup will come to the RM SIG

• Discussion about keeping communication lines open between ERM subgroup and larger RM SIG

Charleston Conference:

• Ann-Marie reported on "A Path to Happiness in Acquisitions" panel at the conference, FOLIO came up tangentially

Acquisitions: Receiving and Check-In

Receiving and check-in:

• How we arrive at receiving vs check-in:

  • open PO line → create Inventory

    • if instance, create instance/holding record

    • if container, create container record

  • box for Check-in item on PO line; if no, carry on with Receiving workflow

  • if you have multiple copies of something, you will have multiple lines of receiving

  • up to the person using the system to decide whether or not to use Check-in; if you make a mistake and need to check-in later, you can do that

  • Check-in does not differentiate between standing orders and subscriptions

  • ability to create an item record for a piece

  • need to be able to see the invoice and how we got the item
