Creating a shared glossary of terminology across FOLIO apps, including e-holdings, inventory, ERM, Acquisitions

@Khalilah Gambrell

Open to feedback. Link to the glossary: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jRn-_ayyoBdNJ2hr5Rf_QtUjjczT-r10hQ0q_PGG77k/edit#gid=0

ALA Updates: Early Adopters Panel

@Peter McCracken

Four panelists who discussed how they would be implementing FOLIO. Representatives from U. of Alabama, U. of Chicago, Cornell, Five Colleges. Alabama and Five Colleges will host with EBSCO, Chicago and Cornell will self-host. Mixed audience - those familiar and those who were learning about it for the first time. Full room with people standing, about 80 people.

Prioritization exercise process

  • Features Prioritization for early adopters

  • Epic Prioritization for all

@Kristin Martin

Spreadsheet given to early adopters to rank features as "Go-live", "wait for fiscal year rollover", "wait for quarter", "wait one year", and "not needed." Cate added the rankings to JIRA. Will be used to allocate developers. Holly will be communicating with libraries on features where there isn't any agreement. Spreadsheet of epics was then sent out to all institutions participating in FOLIO to rank the epics. Some epics were split more than others (e.g. Acquisitions includes 78 features whereas ERM was broken up into several categories - agreements, Eresources, etc.). Some epics will probably get additional features as they are further developed. Features have been given time estimates for development in JIRA but at these point, much of these estimates are educated guesses that will be adjusted as development progresses. Some of the epics, like Acquisition grouped together so many features to make it clear who the product owner is.

Vendor data in FOLIO demo database (FOLIO Snapshot Stable)

@Ann-Marie Breaux (Deactivated)

Please take a look at the demo (link on right, login credentials on wiki homepage). The Vendor app now has sample data. You can test out the functionality but any changes you make to the data will be wiped out in each new snapshot. Look for bugs, missing info, etc. Report back any issues/questions at the next RM SIG meeting. A Discuss post has been created to gather feedback. Will get into detailed testing at a later time.

Need to consider the order of the filters.

Acquisitions data elements for FOLIO

@Dennis Bridges

Reviewed acquisitions data elements that will be hard-coded for Vendors, Finance, Orders.  People will be able to add/remove categories they need/don't need. Dennis will create a spreadsheet so that people can add comments/fields needed. Finance was submitted for the addition to the snapshot a few weeks ago, Orders was submitted today.
