Communications: Discussion on Meeting times. Increasingly we have participants across all timezones from Europe to the West Coast of the US to China. Historically meeting times have been set to balance European and Eastern Time zones. What can we do to be more accommodating? Should we establish policy?

  • e.g. Koha: meetings happen on IRC - no video/voice component - chat based asynchronous - mailing lists
  • Team to find solutions - who wants to participate?: Kathleen, Harry, Marko

Also - press release being written about new PC and TC. Anyone want to be quoted?

Onboarding: Mike met with the Community Outreach SIG on June 25. Onboarding Series will be prominently placed on folio.org replacing the UX Prototype button. Suggest a CC Subgroup be formed to establish milestones/plans for increased Onboarding capabilities. 

  • FOLIO Forum this Wednesday about onboarding
  • Recordings will replace the UX protoype button on the webside
  • Subgroup from CC to work with/support Community Outreach Group: Mike G., Tom, Simeon, Rachel

Elections: Voting Ended. Who was elected and how to communicate this to the community

  • 353 responses so far (753 have opened the survey) 
  • Reminder is send out today, results next Monday, June 28
  • elections ended June 25th: TC / PC both 11 people are elected
  • Announcement on the Wiki page: Mike G. 
    • ask the groups about meeting times, Kick off, Start at July 11 
    • notify the elected / not-elected nominees
    • Kickoff to be started by recent members in the recent slot

A group of FOLIO members contributed to theFOLIO Vision, Strategic Objectives and Initiatives which was published in December 2020. The Community Council will review this list and begin to identify and prioritize its goals for the coming year.

Do we have a list of libraries gone live with FOLIO (and with what apps?)

  • There was a list maintained by Kelly Drake
  • It's outdated - no one volunteered to maintain it
  • How can we keep that up to date? And fill in the gaps until today?
    • Vendors on this call: please upddate with your customers
  • How is FOLIO counting things?
    • Count progress, installations, MoU, etc.
    • Process needs to be installed  - found subgroup (all councils + community outreach)
