General overview of our discussions - notes document

Guiding principles:

FOLIO should have a clear vision, it should work well, and should be affordable

The group discussed Journey Maps

and wants to create one for FOLIO

CC members like this work and the direction it's going.

Discussion of what "affordable" means since it would be different for each institution and we can't promise it actually is cheaper than a commercial product.  We should concentrate on other points: extensibility, sustainability, DIY model

Review the personas and the questions we think they may want answers to when they visit the website

Discussion of librarians persona - are we targeting all librarians? or the decision makers? certain staff ?

What about the value to the end-users? They are not mentioned.

What will be done with this document?  Some of the language is idiomatic American.

Can FOLIO be installed locally?
How do I understand that FOLIO is an open source community?
What should I do if my library is not satisfied with certain applications and features on the FOLIO platform?
Is FOLIO a threat to library management system providers?
How are the library microservice applications developed by each library compatible with FOLIO?
