Posting Jobs on FOLIO Slack?

Is it ok to post jobs on FOLIO Slack channels?  If so, should we have a dedicated channel for Job postings?  What about Twitter and other tools used by FOLIO?

• Proposal: Slack channel for jobs ads?   Yes. Action item: Mike will do it and announce it.

• Twitter?   Just FOLIO related jobs 

• Wiki: after discussion - no.

Governance Seat question

What should happen when a person with a seat in a council switches employers that already has a seat?  Governance does not cover this case.

• We have an example now - was not described in the governance model

• Discussion - Do we need to change the governance modell?  Various other pros and cons

• Community Council can make the decision

• Community Council decided to keep a developer in the TC  that moved from Cornell to EBSCO. EBSCO has now 2 voting members in TC

Modifying Governance model

What is the process of amending the Governance?

• In general the process is:

  • Someone documents the proposed changes (could be CC, TC, PC or general community)

  • CC discusses and agrees/modifies

  • CC presents proposed changes to TC and PC

  • PC and TC ratify (if not, further discussion and revision as necessary)

  • Once PC/TC and CC are all together the changes are implemented
