Reporting User Documentation

The Support SIG would like to request that all FOLIO SIG community members start writing up 'documentation' in https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/display/FOLIOtips/Information+and+User+Guides+for+FOLIO+Apps.

FOLIO lost its technical documentation lead, Marcia Borensztajn. Marcia set up the official documentation framework but it needs more content.

The wiki does provide a template - see Check in.

Updates and Query Demonstrations from Various Reporting Related Groups and Efforts

Project updates

The Reporting SIG is using small working groups to address priorities and complete our work.  Each week, we will provide updates to the Reporting SIG from these various reporting-related groups and efforts. Reporting Development Team leads are encouraged to enter a summary of their work group activities below.

RA/UM Working Group

MM Working Group

  • We didn't meet last week.

  • Working group uses this spreadsheet to track JIRA issues, priority, and reports needed.

ERM Working Group

  • KNIME Demo (Stefan Dombek) from minute ~6 on

  • Overlap analysis ERM built-in comparison tool vs LDP native

    • Currently the  built-in comparison tool can only compare two packages and it has to be connected to an agreement

    • Can used to compare the package changes over time

    • External package comparison will more likley made in LDP

  •

    • Still looking for a appropriate test system to develop a prototype

RM Working Group

External Statistics Working Group

  • new organizational/tracking scheme for JIRA, with pointers to queries in folio-analytics repository

  • New organizational structure for External Statistics reports

    • external statistics reports (e.g., ACRL) typically require running queries from different functional reporting areas

    • these reports will be captured in JIRA under one UXPROD-XXXX report cluster issue, then the descriptions will point to each of the queries required to run them on the folio-analytics repository

    • institutions will need to rank each of these 8 new UXPROD-XXXX report cluster issues

    • each reporting development team will take responsibility for the queries in their area for the external statistics clusters
