Updates from Various Reporting Related Groups and Efforts

Community & Coordination, Reporting Subgroup Leads

Project updates

The Reporting SIG is using small working groups to address priorities and complete our work.  Each week, we will provide updates to the Reporting SIG from these various reporting-related groups and efforts. Please include updates on specific JIRA issues for prototype or query development workflow. Do we need to create any additional JIRA tickets?

  • Community & Coordination: 

    • updating LDP release

  • Development:

    • working on getting SRS MARC data into LDP; getting into a form that is more usable for query building

  • RA/UM Working Group: 

    • Clint working on Returned Claims cluster query

  • MM Working Group:

    • meeting Friday to discuss latest

  • RM Working Group: 

    • Scott and Sharon met with RM SIG to get feedback on RM-Costs Cluster

    • more report reqs from Duke?

  • ERM Working Group:

    • looking at organizing count clusters by data sources (e.g., Agreement or Inventory)

 

ILL: Interlibrary Loan

Review of report requirements for ILL to inform the RA report cluster and query creation process. 

  • Elena sent out an email and Slack message asking for feedback about the following things.

    • how do you report on ILL today?

    • how do expect to report on ILL with FOLIO?

    • how will ILL be configured/integrated for use with FOLIO?

  • Feedback

    • Many institutions create an ILL user account or a group of ill user accounts.

    • Some institutions also want to create short term item records for each loan.

    • People want a report of those account activities.

    • ILL reporting numbers come through other systems like ILLiad or Tipasa. Many will not use the LDP as a major source of information for ILL reporting.

    • Large institutions want more integration. We are not sure what that integration might look like.

    • Libraries seem to draw a clear distinction between ILL and consortial borrowing. ReShare is consortial borrowing so we are not directly addressing that in this conversation.

  • Maybe the reporting functionality is already available through what the Reporting SIG is doing?

    • Elena will follow up with UM SIG convener, Maura Byrne. If she doesn't see any red flags, then we will consider current ILL reporting to be good enough for now.
