Data Privacy for FOLIO Reporting

ALL

A small, short-term subgroup needs to be formed (minimum 3 people) of the Reporting SIG to work on Data Privacy for Reporting and for the LDP Data Warehouse. Joyce Chapman has volunteered; we need 2 more volunteers to work on this subgroup.

Tasks:

  • capture "Reporting Data Privacy" requirements and issues in the Reporting SIG wiki

  • build a survey about current practices

  • work out recommendations on an approach to anonymizing data

  • What data should be removed from extraction as we build the LDP Reporting Data Warehouse?

  • European standard for GDPR?

  • Maybe capture in JIRA as an LDP feature?

Interaction is needed with User Management SIG, SysOps SIG (Ingolf) and maybe Privacy SIG (currently not active). Results have to be brought to the Product Council.

Reporting Feature Requests Review

Nassib/Sharon/Holly

Nassib presents a helpful Wiki page on Feature Requests for LDP-based Reporting. You will need this when you find that for a certain report the database does not have all the necessary features. The Wiki page explains how to add new requests to JIRA an how to view existing ones.

In comparison we take a look at a related, but different reporting JIRA EPIC: UXPROD-943, to see how we are capturing miscellaneous reporting-related tickets here. It is for general requests in reporting.

Report Prioritization for Development in Data Warehouse

ALL

We review the RPWG Project List for the Report Prototype Working Group which contains 8 entries at the moment. The SIG agrees that these are high prioritity and represent a useful set of different aspects of reporting.

We discuss the priorization of the entries and decide as follows:

  1. Collections Use (almost done)

  2. Services Usage (work in progress)

  3. Shelf List Location

  4. External Statistics

The prototype report on Expenditures is also very important but cannot be modeled yet as there are no data elements available so far. Expenditure-related data elements should be integrated into all collection reports to get most meaningful reports.

This SIG will continue this process to review the priorities for the RPWG.
