FOLIO Codex

• If you missed the meeting, your best option is to watch the recording.  These notes do not do the meeting justice.

• First slide showed us how the Codex fits into FOLIO. 

• Then showed us the model, which is similar to BibFrame–in fact, it is inspired by BibFrame 2. 

• This is a work in progress.

• Codex allows things to be identified and found–for searching, like an index.

• Inventory domain is being worked on, but isn't as far along.

• We are trying to be agnostic to format–we want to be able to support all sources.

• Need to be able to import and export multiple sources.

• We are trying to build something for the future, so we are all being pushed out of our comfort zone.  We just all need to become comfortable with it.  We also need to be able to interface with the world outside of FOLIO.
