Notes
Please let Mark Canney know if you are interested in planning and/or presenting at the September 27th FOLIO Forum on the topic of "what is happening in Resource Access". We will share development, planning and discussion samples with an eye towards recruiting new SIG members to RA.
Andrea and Cate announced the cross functional group working on Data Model/Codex and provided a link (above) to the meeting notes.
Cate shared a very early development environment for the Users, Check Out and Check In apps. There was lively discussion and she received many points of input about what data elements should be present on various screens (for example Patron Overview). SIG members are encouraged to continue to provide feedback in the Disqus forums - for example: https://discuss.folio.org/t/check-out-ux-iteration-2.
Per discussion, Cate filed a number of JIRA items for the backlog. The have been tagged with "sig-ra". Here is a filter showing all open issues with this tag:
Please note, there were a number of noted suggestions that weren't entered into JIRA, as the necessary prerequisites were not in place. These include:
- Displaying current app in upper left of screen per Filip's prototype - Need to discuss with Filip and UI devs
- Displaying information about the user on the user's loan popup - This will get into Matt's wireframes and corresponding stories soon
- Displaying additional data on Check-in screen such as was the item overdue, are there fines or fees, call # etc. We don't yet have this data to display.
Next meeting is Thursday, 7/13 at 11EST. We will be joined by VBar for more on Data Model and Architecture.
