Allow proxy to make requests on behalf of sponsor(s) via opac/discovery

Developing functionality to enable Discovery layer for proxy requesting on behalf of sponsors. Edge API updates needed to make this possible  UXPROD-3930 - Allow proxy to make requests on behalf of sponsor(s) via opac/discovery Open  via EDS or other discovery layer. Is there interest in getting this prioritized, especially since this work is only the first step in getting it functional in discovery layers?

Meeting Notes

Erin Nettifee announces Duke University will implement Alma, a blogpost was just published. This means Erin will step down as PO for locations and service points soon, but still will be available on Slack. If anyone is interested in POwnership, Erin says this PO might be a good start, since it requires reasonable time and effort.

Erin as well has a position in Documentation Working Group, Andy is a back-up but would not be able take over. Christine might take over, if somebody would be there to support her.

Everyone is saddened that Erin is leaving the project and the whole RA SIG would like to thank her for the great cooperation, dedicated work and her long-time engagement.

Topics for WOLFCon can still be added here. Please add any topic you would like to talk about, you don't neccesarily have to lead that session. In our next meeting on Thursday we will vote about the tpics. At least we could have a general RA SIG meeting, further sessions would be great.

Susan talks about a sponsor/proxy issue which occured at Five Colleges: proxies are not able to place requests on behalf of their sponsors in EDS. Susan asks if there is a desire in the group to get this developed, since there already is a JIRA (UXPROD-3930) for this, but it doesn’t contain much details. David says, Chicago has a workaround for this (separate setup of sponsors, credentials of this account can be shared), overall they only have few proxies. Generally there needs backend work to be done and to ensure it communicates with front end. Unfortunately requests doesn’t have a PO right now. Lisa mentioned, Leipzig looks forward to the sponsor/proxy feature and would like to use it in future. Laszlo writes in chat, Stanford no longer allows non-Stanford people to be a proxy.

Julie presents screenshots for new notices concerning lost item fee actual cost billing, she is working on the release notes for this currently (declared lost works the same way). The processing fee for the lost items would not be included in a notice, since this happens in another place in FOLIO. Julie also shows an example notice for adjustment of a lost item fee, when the lost item is returned.
