Meeting Notes

No meeting on Monday, April 10th due to a public holiday in Germany.

PC Update: WOLFCon 23 will be held in Chicago August 22-24, 2023.

Topic 1: Cornelia: (Scheduled notices: What happens in FOLIO?) Notices are scheduled upon checkout of an item. When the time for the notice arrives, data is downloaded. If there is missing data (like anonymization), a Send Error is recorded in the Circ Log. The Error messages get generated before the check happens to see if the loan has been closed. Why isn't that process reversed? May be an optimization for check-in.

Brooks suggested that scheduled notices should be deleted when a loan is closed, rather than just hanging around waiting to be checked, not sent, then deleted. There may be a JIRA ticket already to clear out the notices upon closure of the loan. Ask @julie.bickle if there is a ticket when she's back.
