Julie: Call numbers - How often do we use barcodes and how often call numbers?

• Call numbers are not unique but Barcodes are

• one does not know which item one is talking about, when looking at an item

• Barcodes are scanable

• Call numbers are good to finde items - look ups

• Call numbers in the request result list would be great for access staff to look up the requests without the pick slip

• Would that change with TLR?

  • With on order items - does the items status change to available after cataloguing it trigger the TLR?

  • Should the system be able to monitor item status to follow tasks in a certain order?

        to clear an on-order status and make it available it would have to be checked in, so it should pick up the next request.

    • Brooks Travis  20:50 : That said, it would never actually become available, though, since it would either go in-transit, to the hold shelf, or awaiting delivery/checked out.

  • Andrea: Ask Angela about a report on item status open and not yet filled, does it tell us the change in item staus, when it went missing in the process?

  • Wish: Limit pick up locations for request. https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UXPROD-2690  Prevent local page requests

    • Possible Solution: circ rules for requests: limit requests for certain locations and/or patron groups

• Calendar update:

  • first task is Backend work - The code had to be redone

  • Topics/Questions: permanent new dev team, how does they work, is there a PO

  • How can the RA SIG be useful? - maybe in priorisation?

  • Todo for RA SIG: Review the jiras and think the calendar functionality through

    • set up a process here and come back to working on this as a SIG!
