Notes

Change in meeting schedule (Andrea):

Andrea proposed that, as some of us move toward implementation and we seem to be slowing down, we meet once per week.
Jana suggested alternating between regular sessions and testing & feedback sessions; Erin concurred.
Erin proposed:
Monday: PO meeting
Thursday: testing & documentation
David expresses concerned re: slowing down; we have much to do.
Jana: as we move forward & go live, will we have fewer people in this group? We should take advantage to keep meeting.
Erin, Andrea: could someone else run the second meeting?
Cheryl: what did you have in mind, re: testing, problems?
Anya would like to do this if we could meet one half hour later.
Jana also volunteered if she could share the responsibility.
Andrea proposed that she and Anya and Jana would discuss this.
Mark: which meeting would be the PO meeting? Monday or Thursday?
Andrea: we will continue this conversation during Monday’s meeting; we will start at 15 after the hour.

Terminology (Erin):

Loan policy: see settings: “Closed library due date management”
Wrong terminology?
Relabel “Closed service point due date management”
Cheryl: I will look at headings on calendar; there would be some argument to making them the same; calendar says library hours.
Cate: changing on the back end is a bigger deal. Agreed, it’s inaccurate right now. Changing the data element on the back is a breaking change.
Andrea: Can we put the matching terminology in parenthesis on the backend?
Cheryl will request change to see if it can be done.
Carsten: The calendar app will need to be changed as well?

Terminology (Emma):

Developers just starting work on claimed returned.
They had a question about the grammar of this.
“Claim returned” OR “Claimed returned” OR “Claims returned”
Let’s go with option B: “Claimed returned”; other statuses are past tense; let’s go for consistency

WOLFcon re-cap:

Andrea: RE: material type; ACQ would use the same list that we use; configurable at the tenant level; set up w/ default that can be null.
Cate: changing a field to null: this is a breaking change. We came away with the idea we want to be careful about making fields required.
Cate: Charlotte now has a story in about this; Chicago doesn’t use material type; we will try to build in an option to set a default.
Erin: session on title level requests; this is a pain point for Chalmers.
Magda: shared screen & reviewed applicable slides; reviewed proposal
Magda will meet will developers next week and follow up with us;
Andrea: housekeeping: meeting of several conveners; agreed to meet every other month; putting together a page in the wiki for onboarding SMEs.
Erin: Discussion about rotating conveners?
Andrea: Sharon will set up a meeting for this.
Andrea: session on course reserves (Kelly Drake); Index data working on this for FLO; Andrea talked with Index Data: LTI critical
Erin: joint meeting on users; demo from Patty; notes are on Slack;
David: custom fields are further along than I thought;
Erin shared this link, re: joint UM and RA meeting:
https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/display/UM/1-24-2020+-+Joint+UM+and+RA+Meeting+at+WolfCon+2020
Jana: re: conversation about search that we need to be a part of;
Carsten: consortia: limitations?
David: LDP reporting: useful & interesting, re: how that’s going to work.
Anya: spent a lot of time with implementers; there is a need to focus on libraries that are implementers & focus on how to get them live this summer
Emma: Meeting: order to shelf: what happens when order is closed, etc. There may be some follow up to this later.
Kimmie: Happy to be with you all & see you in person & felt more engaged in the process
Cate: Chat w/ someone from Stanford; plans for scan & delivery; they are using a homegrown system; we may hear from him (Tom Cramer)
David: Chicago uses Illiad.
Sharon: information, re: notices
Andrea: recordings are worth listening to; are they available?
Mark: Plenary sessions are on YouTube

Next week:

Monday: talk about restructuring;
Thursday: POs
