I would like to review Nolana
    Julie Brannon (she/her) 12:16 PM
Selfishly, since I help with documentation and need to get started on the changes coming in Orchid in the next few weeks, I'd find it helpful to see an Orchid overview :)
  • Dennis: Nothing to prevent us from doing both!
  • Sara: Maybe review Orchid now to prime us for Bugfest. Then when bugfest is over, then review Nolana right before it's released.

:21Implementers Topics # 83Dennis
  • Export transaction list from Finance
  • Finance - Villanova University would like to be able to filter and export transaction details from budgets in the Finance app.

What would be some key use cases for extracting this information?

Would you need transactions for only 1 budget at a time?

What detail from the transaction would you need (ie. amount, budget ID, Expense class, Description, tags etc)?

  • Sara: Problem solving in finance in very difficult. Information is fractured out and is hard to view an overview in finance so would love to export information from finance.
  • Dennis: There have been a few navigational improvements made recently.
  • Scott Perry 12:25 PM
We have used the LDP to look at transactions
  • Dennis: Are you trying to compare encumbrances and payments? What are you doing when you are troubleshooting?
  • Sara: It has a lot to do with stuck invoices.
  • Kimberly.Smith@mtsu.edu 12:29 PM
Are you saying you need to see the encumbrances and the invoices a the same time to trace a transaction from start to finish?
  • Scott Perry 12:29 PM
    Audit trail
  • Kimberly.Smith@mtsu.edu 12:30 PM
Currently, if something wigs out during the movement of a transaction from POL to Invoice, there is no way to see where it broke...right?
  • Scott Perry 12:31 PM
We had to compare these things before/during/after FYRO because some encumbrances didn't rollover.
  • Sara Colglazier (MHC/5C) 12:36 PM
""One or more purchase order line record(s) cannot be updated."
  • Dennis: Order history will help a lot with discovering where things went wrong.
  • Scott Perry 12:44 PM
I would very much like to export from the fund screen.
  • Lisa Smith, Mich State 12:45 PM
    seeing payments/credit with POL/titles
  • Paivi Rentz 12:47 PM
I would like to be able to export transaction details. It is not needed frequently but sometimes it is the only way to resolve problems
  • Scott Perry 12:48 PM
I currently show just under 288,000 transaction rows.
  • Lisa Smith, Mich State 12:50 PM
We used to send selectors monthly reports of their purchases by fund.  If something was ordered with the wrong fund, they could alert us, and we could correct it.  That hasn't been happening in FOLIO, because it's too much to open every transaction.
  • Scott Perry 12:59 PM
We can have several hundred funds on the same external account number
Lisa Smith, Mich State 1:00 PM
We have hundreds of funds on the same account #.
  • Dennis: Will need to continue this discussion
