Discussion items
Product Council Update | Product Council discussed the Vision and Strategy document. No major changes were suggested. Vision and Strategy Document: Marcia Borensztajn Posted a draft proposal of documentation docs.folio.org Members for the Privacy SIG are still needed. They are particularly interested in having people who have to navigate GDPR
Other updates/announcements | The bound-withs and analytics working group had a conversation with developers. A single item record that can be linked to more than one holdings record is the model that is being considered at this point.
Inventory Implementers page? | Laura E Daniels | should we do something like ERM has done? This could be used to suggest development, help each other find solutions and workarounds for currently development Laura will create the page and share the link to that in our Slack channel.
005 behavior in MARC SRS | (copied from Slack #metadata-management) https://www.loc.gov/marc/authority/ad005.html
tags in Inventory | Ann-Marie Breaux (Deactivated) | Review tags placement for Instance, Holdings, and Item records Tags open in a fourth pane as a convention in the system. For records that open full screen, tags can be at the very top, or just under the admin data, in an accordion. Use of tags? Ann-Marie thinks of them as more ephemeral. Good way to pull together batches that need attention to be drawn to. Could be used to help move through a process. Reporting on tags: Can filter in Inventory. Not a controlled list. Intention is to give a less controlled way to mark things. Tags will surface in the LDP.
Requirements for Elastic Search | @ Magda Zacharska | Magda Zacharska - new PO for implementation of Elastic Search Questions about our ideal search environment Does MM want to respond collectively? As individual institutions? Both? Action: Gather institutional opinions.
