Minutes

  • Development progress - ERM sprint 170
  • posted in Slack and via email: please comment and give feedback to document Options for displaying Agreement Line information in the Agreement edit pane
    • If there is agreement we can proceed or we will discuss this in one of the next meetings / scheduled for Poppy release

  • ERM Sprint 170 finishes the end of this week
  • Implementers topics (ERM implementers):
    • Overview of results in the titles search in eHoldings - Khalilah
      • First gather the group’s feedback - What would you like to see when it comes to titles searches in eHoldings?

      • Owen (chat): The things specifically mentioned in the Implementers topics are “indication of selection status and year published.”

      • to display the publication year and indicate on records the selection status / number of packages in which the title is selected and not selected

      • Sara: tricky in HLM in general you can have multiple title entities – same thing/title with different KB IDs – different packages – difficult to distinguish

      • Example: dare to lead - Filter by publication type books
      • Sara: Figure out which is more likely to have your package – indication of the number of packages would be useful / You could click something to give you a quick view

      • finding the right package is very difficult in eHoldings in HLM there is a view and you see all the packages / searching the title than trying to identify the right package

      • Owen: View of the titles is over the whole screen - close it than redone your search – search is happening every time you hit the result page / View in the 3rd pane, never reload the search results – same issues, but quicker
      • two separate issues
      • adding more metadata on the screen to result page

      • usability: full screen vs. third pane

      • three issues: fix the search / more metadata / getting to it more quicker
      • for the poppy packages facet was added: after I have conducted a title search I am able to search within the packages facet

      • Sara : can you start typing? → yes

      • We are working on multi select

      • Select e.g. book than in package accordion the package is preselected - with magnifying glass modal filter packages will display you can pick another package

      • Owen: broad search – search with inverted commas could help

      • facet is on snapshot - please test
      • notes for adding publication date and number of packages the title
    • Display agreement line level information in eHoldings / Show warning where you link the same agreement twice, to the same package - Khalilah
      • Owen: Add Agreement and chose one – issue when you add the same agreement here - in the agreements app there are two agreement lines now - on the eHolding record only the agreement is displayed, not the agreement line – so there is no information about the agreement lines attached / There are reason why it is allowed to add more, form the agreements perspective it is not an error, but users would like at least a warning

      • Sara: no indication that the same was assigned - having a warning and little number circle: how many agreement lines you have

      • Owen: In title display a query all the agreements that contain the resource – at the time we did this this was the only choice perhaps – now we could query the agreement line information / On agreement lines you can have different notes and different dates, that is the reason for having multiple agreement lines
      • Sara: in orders there is something similar – create a POL and open the order – modal: do you release that there are orders? do you still want to do this?

      • Owen: Maybe the priority is to display the agreement lines instead of the agreement – avoid the delete of all the agreement lines – still the issue for adding the warning
      • Sara: example – consortial with 5C - you are not seeing what you are deleting and could delete agreement line form other institution

      • Owen: from AGl name / start date / active from and active to / note / description could be displayed

      • Sara: description could be truncated and not shown all

      • to do: Identify the list for the display what fields to include in the UI and indentify the appropriate API calls
    • In agreements app, enhance search for agreement lines for eHoldings resources - topic postponed

Felix Hemme 14:07
I am
I can take a look at ERM-2628
Zorian Sasyk - EBSCO FOLIO Implementation 14:08
If we can think of use cases for this, where should we list them?
Got it!
scolglaz 14:19
Sounds good
Owen Stephens 14:20
The things specifically mentioned in the Implementers topics are “indication of selection status and year published.”
Perhaps another way of asking the question (thinking about the use case is in the implementers topics) might be: When do you have to switch to HLM when title searching instead of using eHoldings - and why does HLM work better in that case
Is this like the “Adaptive thermal comfort: foundations and analysis” example Sara?
In that case there are many title records, but the one that seems to be the one with the most packages is ID 6413005
Zorian Sasyk - EBSCO FOLIO Implementation 14:27
This is an activation workflow then! Specifically, for ebook activation by title, where determining the "right" package to activate within
scolglaz  an  Alle 14:30
Also journals, Zorian ...
Zorian Sasyk - EBSCO FOLIO Implementation 14:30
That's true, especially for single subs I imagine
scolglaz 14:30
Yes
scolglaz 14:31
And to what Owen is saying, you have to then reorient yourself on the page again each time
Owen Stephens 14:33
That’s a general Folio issue tbh - really it would be great to have both the view pane and fullscreen view in all apps I think!
That looks like it could be really helpful - although note that it works better if you can narrow down the results to a single work
Felix Hemme 14:37
De Gruyter [də ˈɡʁɔʏ̯tɐ] ;-)
Owen Stephens 14:37
Ah German!
Owen Stephens 14:37
I don’t know why I’d always assumed it was Dutch
Zorian Sasyk - EBSCO FOLIO Implementation 14:38
The "Art" of package selection :)
Felix Hemme 14:52
What happens when you click the delete Icon? Is it deleting all three AGRLines?
If that is the case, then this seems like another issue
Felix Hemme 14:52
What if you just want to delete AGRLine #2, but not 1 and 3?
Khalilah Gambrell (EBSCO) 14:52
Yes - it deletes all
scolglaz 14:57
Yes, just warn and inform that they are in place
Owen Stephens 14:59
With notes and start/end dates
And you can display agreement + AL info
