Agenda items

  1. Development progress - ERM sprint 162 / ERM sprint 163
  2. Feedback on slow loading of AGLs
  3. Continue on feedback for implementers topic:  Finding details of titles that are part of an agreement

Minutes

Development progress update

  • limited team at the start of this sprint due to vacation
  • Jack from K-Int is supporting the dev team
  • development for Orchid is finished
  • support for content type is in QA > one or multiple content types can be added > content types are configurable
  • for Poppy: upgrade to underlying development frameworks (Grails 5)

Agreements with many agreement lines

  • For reference this is the last document we had for discussion of editing multiple agreement lines
  • too many AGLs per AGR causes loading issues
  • What has caused the issue
    • automatic expansion of AGLs into the AGR
    • displaying resource information > needs to be loaded additionally, sometimes extra call needed (e.g. for EKB resources managed by eholdings)
  • What has already been done?
    • automatic expansion of AGLS into the AGR
      • when displaying a results list, AGLs are not expanded into the AGRs in the results
      • when viewing a single AGR the number of AGLs retrieved is controllable in settings
        • that is only for viewing, not editing
        • generally, users have more power when navigating in AGL tab (in contrast to staying on the AGR)
    • displaying resource information
      • avoid fetching external (EKB) resource information in the AGL search
  • What further improvements are planned
    • improve support of AGRs with many AGLs (UXPROD-3890)
      • remove inline AGL edit from the AGRs (ERM-2421)
      • add new AGL edit options (ERM-2900)
    • ERM-2421 relatively straightforward, will prevent current situation where AGRs become un-editable if there are too many AGLs; but that will mean that it is only possible to edit AGLS individually
    • ERM-2900 to address the latter issue, could potentially be tackled at a later stage; is a bigger piece of work than ERM-2421
    • the ERM SIG agrees that ERM-2421 is a good first step to solve the existing issue

  • Further requirements related to AGLs
    • Sara asks for UI based bulk edit options for AGLs; ideally rather sooner than later; additionally batch load is a requirement
      • Zorian agrees in chat: batchloading capabilities across the ERM apps in general would be great - in the long run
      • Jessica: +1 Zorian
    • Jessica: it would be helpful tobe able to export the AGLs
        • Owen: currently that is possible via the UI; we can add that to the list of future development wishes
        • Sara agrees in chat: OH, +1 to Jessica to export AGLs!
        • Owen: we would need more resource; ERM development is funded by GBV and there are limits in resourcing
          • wishes are added to the list, but we cannot promise when this will get done
        • Jessica in chat: I can definitely understand that. Thanks, Owen!
