Minutes
Dev progress
- fewer developers
- product is more mature, not as many new features as in earlier releases
Agreement types
- trial represents a lifecycle status; so it is rather a status than a type
- Tatjana: would use it as a status
- Jessica: could trial be a checkbox?
- Owen: yes, it could be
- Sara: trial shouldn't be mixed with content type
- Are there other things like trial?
- Sara: requested | Owen will give this more thought
- Martina S: no, an agreement is a trial or final; trial” as one of two stages in the lifecycle of an agreement: trial + final
- 2 lifecycles: acquisition and trialing lifecycle
- Gill: Are the dates of a trial important?
- Sara, Martina S and Felix: yes
- Jessica in chat: I think they are for sure, but depending how the trial field is set up, I could see just using period start & end dates for that.
- another lifecycle type of thin - might that be an agreement that provides PCA
- Sara would love that
- Felix in chat: +1 Sara we also use a prefix in the agreement name; As long as no PCA case has occurred they have a status "draft"
- Sara has it as a suffix
- another type that has been requested is membership | a way in which a resource is acquired
- other types OA, desideratum, license, one-off purchase; one-off hosting with hosting fee; one-off hosting with update fee; PDA/EBA; test (means trial)
- Sara: membership can be a type of agreement in contrast to something that comes with a membership (that would be an acquisition type); there is nothing attached in the KB
- Owen sees that for the hosting fee
- Tatjana: but there can as well be specific resources tied to a membership
- Agreement vs. agreement line
- allow connection between AGL and POL
- an agreement can have AGLs of different types: one-off purchase and subscription
- Zorian: JSTOR is a good example
- would it be helpful to have "types" at both levels → needs some thought; users might close an order but still need acquisition information on the AGL
- or when migrating to FOLIO without migrating all closed orders
- → then the info would be need on AGL level as well
- OA is a specific type that can have subtypes
- is OA its own thing → yes, agreement
- Sara: more than acquisition method than content type; uses OA as suffix
- Content type
- Sara: Now I am wondering whether content is not really format?
- users don't want to be tied to content from external KBs
- requirement for a configurable list
- Zorian: could we use suppl. properties
- MartinaS. there are implementers who asked for a more direct way to filter for types than via the term builder
- Felix: Couldn't we think about making the filter more accessible?; like when a supp prop is not optional, include it as its own filter outside of the term filter builder
- Zoarina and Martina S like this idea

+1 Owen
14:22:37 Von Martina Schildt | VZG an Alle:
Yes, it can have a start and end
14:22:54 Von Felix Hemme (ZBW) an Alle:
Yes, one could indicate the trial dates as periods in the agreement.
14:23:05 Von Jessica Harris an Alle:
I think they are for sure, but depending how the trial field is set up, I could see just using period start & end dates for that.
14:23:11 Von Felix Hemme (ZBW) an Alle:
That's my initial thought

14:52:51 Von Bernd Oberknapp an Alle:
Would the content types be a fixed list or configurable?
14:55:00 Von Felix Hemme (ZBW) an Alle:
Like the OA properties?
14:57:59 Von Felix Hemme (ZBW) an Alle:
Couldn't we think about making the filter more accessible?

the term builder filter
