Fundraising for technical editor (update)

Two requests have gone out to FOLIO Members, and we have commitments from 3 organizations (Five Colleges, University and State Library Darmstadt, Germany, and GBV) totaling $4,000. Others are considering. Next steps? What if we collect more than was asked for?

  • Clarify, when Marcia can continue and for how long?
  • There is a volunteer as technical editor fpr 10 hrs. / week. - but would strongly welcomes some training: Kirstin will reach out
  • Next steps: again contact the community again - contact Marcia for 1 month and hopefully more
  • Alexis Manheim , please reach out to Marcia

Other

Reference Environment update Hkaplanian reports after discussions with Mark Veksler and other POs, there is no slack in any team to take on this work. It is estimated that 0.5 FTE could handle this work. The would be roughly $50k if an EPAM resource was contracted.

Community OrganizationKristin Martin

Clarify in the community, who is responsible for all the roles we need to fill?

Ensure, that all roles are always filled and we avoid breaks in knowledge transfer?

  • Action item: bring this up in the next meeting in more detail!
