1 year vs 2 year Terms

We need to identify which CC members have 1 year terms vs which ones will have 2 year terms. Per our Governance Model, seven members will have a 1-year term and eight will have a 2-year term

Members who have already self-selected 1 year terms:

Would anyone else like to identify themselves as a 1 year term member? We need three more.

2022 Elections

We need to have elections of all three councils completed so that the new councils can start July 1st. Proposed timeline:

1. Call for nominations by May 6, 2022

2. Nominees due/finalized May 20, 2022

3. Voting opens May 30, 2022

4. Voting ends June 17, 2022

5. Results announce June 20, 2022

6. New Councils formed/start July 1, 2022

We need volunteers to run the election for all 3 councils!:

• Create/update page(s) for nominees  -  @Simeon Warner 

• Draft call for nominees - @Simeon Warner 

• Clean up work for nominees: @Hkaplanian  

• Build voting form: @Hkaplanian   - survey monkey

• Make announcements - @Simeon Warner 

• Reach out to other councils about procedure:

  • TC - has volunteers, PC - is aware of task 

  • Inform about procedure and make contact with @Hkaplanian and @Simeon Warner 

  • @Mike Gorrell will talk to all chairs for alignment and feedback

Can we arrive at a CC Statement on Resourcing Model?

• Boaz: work on this topic and create / present result on WOLFCon?

• Marc: asks for a summary of resourcing model?

        • option 1 seems unrealistic

        • option 2 - we rely on, that members will step in, when necessary 

  • Tom:

    • from chat: we currently don’t have a crisp theory of resourcing Marc. So your question is excellent, but also a challenge to answer at the moment.

    • topic is urgend! We need to find solutions before August

  • Marc: fundamental questions - how will FOLIO sustain long-term?

    • can we devide the two questions: 

      • continue funding on our last developer  - at last for the next 6 month?

      • how to do it long-term?

• Action item: Working group to define the FOLIO resourcing model

• Harry: not really an emergency situation - more PO's than development teams

• Julie: yes, we do!  Some people on the list just had stepped in, but have to much work.

• Action item: @Hkaplanian will reach out to @Khalilah Gambrell to gather more information and come back for discussion in the next meeting - to be put on agenda of May 23, 2022
