1 year vs 2 year Terms | Group | We need to identify which CC members have 1 year terms vs which ones will have 2 year terms. Per our Governance Model, seven members will have a 1-year term and eight will have a 2-year term Members who have already self-selected 1 year terms: - Kathleen Berry
- Paula Sullenger
- Tom Cramer
- dracine
- Marko Knepper
Ian Ibbotson (Use this one) is thinking about it
Would anyone else like to identify themselves as a 1 year term member? We need three more. |
2022 Elections | Group | We need to have elections of all three councils completed so that the new councils can start July 1st. Proposed timeline: - Call for nominations by May 6, 2022
- Nominees due/finalized May 20, 2022
- Voting opens May 30, 2022
- Voting ends June 17, 2022
- Results announce June 20, 2022
- New Councils formed/start July 1, 2022
We need volunteers to run the election for all 3 councils!:
- Reach out to other councils about procedure:
- TC - has volunteers, PC - is aware of task
- Inform about procedure and make contact with Hkaplanian and Simeon Warner
- Mike Gorrell will talk to all chairs for alignment and feedback
Boaz in chat: "We may want to involve the councils in the elections committee"

FOLIO Resource Model | Group | Review last meeting's discussion. Can we arrive at a CC Statement on Resourcing Model? - Boaz: work on this topic and create / present result on WOLFCon?
- Marc: asks for a summary of resourcing model?
- Mike:
- Sustainability
- fund developers vs. community commitment
- option 1 seems unrealistic
- option 2 - we rely on, that members will step in, when necessary
- Tom:
- from chat: we currently don’t have a crisp theory of resourcing Marc. So your question is excellent, but also a challenge to answer at the moment.
- topic is urgend! We need to find solutions before August
- Marc: fundamental questions - how will FOLIO sustain long-term?
- can we devide the two questions:
- continue funding on our last developer - at last for the next 6 month?
- how to do it long-term?
- Action item: Working group to define the FOLIO resourcing model
- Ian I., Ian W., Marko, Boaz, Marc, Tom, Harry, Kirstin
- Action item: group and slack channel to be started by Tom - slack "#folio-resourcing"
- Marc: Is there any value in having folks from the other Councils in the working group for sustainable development contributions? - 2 agreements.
- Any chance I can convince folks to move away from the resourcing terminology when refereeing to people and contributing? - Yes
|
Lack of PO's | Simeon | Lack of PO's - Harry: not really an emergency situation - more PO's than development teams
- Julie: yes, we do! Some people on the list just had stepped in, but have to much work.
- Action item: Hkaplanian will reach out to Khalilah Gambrell to gather more information and come back for discussion in the next meeting - to be put on agenda of May 23, 2022
