mod-user-import Department field bug

  • mod-user-import has a bug that couldn’t accommodate the new Department field, in Honeysuckle. Needs a fix.

Patron Block Template demo

@Annika Schröer@Richard Redweik

  • From Users > Settings, go to Patron block template. Ex “Reader card lost.”

    • To use these templates - go to a user, create a block, then just select the template whenever that feature is available (not on dev-snapshot yet due to UIU-1910 being in Code Review).

    • Should be ready by early January.

    • Richard: demoed selecting a Block template from the “New Block” screen.

    • The group felt that it will be a very useful feature for streamlining data entry.

  • Reporting on block template codes will also be possible on the back end (for ex., how many people are currently blocked due to a given reason). The Reporting SIG will be informed about this after the release, so LDP etc can report on the templates

Populate Expiration Date feature discussion

@Annika Schröer

  • Populates expiration date based on pre-defined offset for patron group

    • An aid for calculating / choosing the right offset date for each group.

    • The UI will provide a hint that an inactive user would be reactivated after you set the date.

    • This feature will soon be ready for testing, the code is being reviewed.

Display note as a pop-up choice

Call for POs due to recent project departures

App Interaction meeting update

@Maura Byrne

  • Discussion of impact of deleting User data. For ex, Licenses, Inventory, POs, Agreement records would all be tightly linked to User records. So it could be a data integrity issue, and there's now a discussion of merely deactivating Users and not deleting them. The UM SIG's position is that deletion is still a requirement in some cases.
