SIG Report 2024-06-20
Reports should include:
Discussion of specific development areas. Including Jira issues for both features and bugs is helpful.
Work related to the FOLIO Roadmap or work that occurred that is not well-represented on the FOLIO roadmap.
Information about demos, user discussions, or future functionality for FOLIO.
Spins-ups or wind-downs of specific subgroups or working groups in a particular area.
Ideas or issues that came up feel outside the scope of the SIG but need commenting.
When you click on Submit Request, this will create a new wiki page that will need to be published.

@Björn Muschall | @Owen Stephens | Meetings are held monthly. SIG met with openCost project (https://www.opencost.de/en/) which aims at creating a technical infrastructure that allows to comprehensively record all costs involved in scientific publishing and subsequently make them freely accessible by means of standardized interfaces. The aim is to support openCost schema and data export as far as resources are available. Leipzig is currently experimenting to make Open Access data available via Lists app. Further tests integrating Open Access in metaDB. |

@Ian Walls | @Owen Stephens | The Workflow SIG has reviewed the Import/Export process for workflows as created by the Aggies team. This includes a standard file format for exported data, as well as UI components for doing the data import. This will facilitate easier sharing of workflows between FOLIO libraries, as well as distribute testing/debugging, and allow for off-site workflow backup processes/management. |
