SIG Reports 2024-12-19
Reports should include:
- Discussion of specific development areas. Including Jira issues for both features and bugs is helpful.
- Work related to the FOLIO Roadmap or work that occurred that is not well-represented on the FOLIO roadmap.
- Information about demos, user discussions, or future functionality for FOLIO.
- Spins-ups or wind-downs of specific subgroups or working groups in a particular area.
- Ideas or issues that came up feel outside the scope of the SIG but need commenting.
When you click on Submit Request, this will create a new wiki page that will need to be published.

Katharina Jung | Martina Tumulla | Documentation for Ramsons was written and released. Documentation WG discussed how to adjust the order of the left menu and how to set up links correctly. In addition attendees shared experiences around Co-writing with several writers for a larger topic. Meeting time of Documentation WG will slightly change and will be one hour earlier from January on. (Second Wednesday of the month, 9 am-10am EST/15-16 CET)

Public Library SIG | Joseph Malloy | Lisa McColl | The Public Library SIG meets monthly. The group discussed creating a "Learning to Swim" guide for libraries interested in FOLIO. The goal of the guide is to document public library specific information to potential FOLIO users and point to existing documentation as needed. Joseph is also gathering FAQs for the wiki page. The group is will be testing an "Inbox" system to keep ideas, requests, and action items organized and will review that system in January's meeting. Spokane is the first US public library to adopt FOLIO and is working hard to address gaps in the system that may prevent public libraries from adopting FOLIO. UXPROD-5094 is seen as a blocker.
