AnnouncementsAll

Katharina: Chapter "users" was translated into German for a test for Ian and the site generator. Waiting for response from Ian (the contents will live at a slightly different URL (a /de/ in there somewhere)) ; more updates next meetings

Amanda let us know that some Bulk edit work (instance identifiers and query-based statistical codes) have been delayed until Ramsons due to issues with duplicates and further requirements gathering.

Tri-Council from Mar 14th - WOLFcon 24

  • The deadline for the call for proposals will be extended (previously 31 March)

  • Workshops are planned for the day before WOLFcon - this pre-conference is called FOLIO Academy

    • FOLIO Academy is in person only

    • Academy sessions are whole day or half-day slots; Martina believes you can submit proposals for these as well.

No updates related to documentation from last PC meeting.

Open actions last meetingsKatharina

Martina: to add terminology document contents to https://docs.folio.org/docs/about-folio/ and potentially revisit first paragraph to align

Molly: contact Julian and Ian concerning search field's problem with small screens or shrink browser window.

  • Still waiting to hear back from Julian/Ian on screen size problem.
  • Left-hand contents have been updated

Molly: contact Owen re: Serials app documentation

  • Heard back from Owen that he raised this with Martina Schildt and Peter Sbrzesny but they've not responded yet. In previous discussions he'd agreed with them that they would write the documentation with input from him.
  • Molly shared the documentation deadline with Owen (22 April)
  • Molly will ask if we can add these names to the documentation table
Orphaned and new sections in the wg-tableKatharina

Brandon took over (via Slack) : Platform Essentials>Permissions & Platform Essentials>Locations - started work already in GitHub

Settings >Tenants: Erin N. was authoring this before she left. Do we need a new person to take this section on? Molly suggested asking the RA SIG and MM SIG for a volunteer.

  • Laurence will ask at the RA SIG (meeting upcoming).
  • Amanda will ask in the MM SIG (meeting tomorrow).

Serials App: Molly to ask Owen if we can add Martina and Peter's names to the table

Search field problem with small screens or shrink browser window

Katharina

can it be fixed? Or something on Docs page advising people they need full size screen for the search to work.

Wording:

Defer to next meeting after Molly tried contacting Ian and Julian again.

New branch for Quesnelia in GitHubKatharina

Who did it in the past? Who must be informed? Who can do it from the wg-group? - appendix after creating agenda: Ian did on March 11th. 2nd person for it?

Molly shared that Ian and Julian are the only people (that she knows of) that have rights to edit the Github. Katharina to contact them for more information.

MARC authority documentationMollyMolly is updating the Export manager documentation to clarify which MARC authority exports are supported there. Noticed that the MARC authority documentation is missing a section on reports. Will contact Lisa offline to strategize about the content updates.

Deadline WOLFcon time slots application on 31st march

All

suggestions for topics? who will be in London?

Katharina will be attending with some of her colleagues. Several other people are awaiting confirmation whether they'll be able to attend.

Time slots are 50 or 80 minutes.

WOLFcon proposal submission form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdwNClXIoe9YQGhQKYDvU0msyj8lkyruHSsssR4lQp_vCYdgA/viewform

Molly proposed a session to crowdsource suggestions for contextual documentation like "Additional topics" for RA or Platform Essentials.

Christine proposed the following:

Using FOLIO Docs as a training resource for public services and Consortia
a. FOLIO Docs as point of reference for general functionality
b. Localize documentation to specific library or service point; customize for your library’s FOLIO release
c. Screenshots, screen recordings, guides
d. Training presentations, recordings, technical support

When submitting, we need to decide if it's a working meeting or community sharing to reserve a slot for documentation. Can add more detail later on.

Decision: submit for a 50 minute slot. Katharina and Martina will review the submission form to determine the best type to submit for.
