Workgroup forming to develop use cases for MARC querying

To assist Nassib with the development of support for querying MARC data in the LDP, we will form a small workgroup to write documentation of use cases for this feature.

Let's review the Reporting SIG's Goals for 2020 and celebrate our accomplishments this past year!

We can also start to develop our Goals for 2021. 

 

Updates and Query Demonstrations from Various Reporting Related Groups and Efforts

Community & Coordination, Reporting Subgroup Leads

Project updates

The Reporting SIG is using small working groups to address priorities and complete our work.  Each week, we will provide updates to the Reporting SIG from these various reporting-related groups and efforts. Reporting Development Team leads are encouraged to enter a summary of their work group activities below.

 

FOLIO Reporting development

  • update on bringing Normalized Call Number into the LDP?

    • should these be developed in SQL or as extensions?

    • Tod working with Nassib on this

    • develop an automated process 

    • what shape do the sort keys look like?

  • first official release of reporting queries coming up at beginning of March

  • beta release has been tested

RA/UM Working Group

MM Working Group

  • No updates at this time.

  • Working group uses this spreadsheet to track JIRA issues, priority, and reports needed.

ERM Working Group

  • updates and/or query demos?

 

RM Working Group

External Statistics Working Group

  • new organizational/tracking scheme for JIRA, with pointers to queries in folio-analytics repository

  • New organizational structure for External Statistics reports

    • external statistics reports (e.g., ACRL) typically require running queries from different functional reporting areas

    • these reports will be captured in JIRA under one UXPROD-XXXX report cluster issue, then the descriptions will point to each of the queries required to run them on the folio-analytics repository

    • institutions will need to rank each of these 8 new UXPROD-XXXX report cluster issues

    • each reporting development team will take responsibility for the queries in their area for the external statistics clusters
