Minutes
Demo
Jack demoed the checklist functionality to date. How to:
- add a new Checklist item
- display a checklist for a request
- add notes to a checklist item
Functionality currently missing is the ability to set an item to "Not required" or show/hide.
The checklist still needs to have the correct styling applied.
A release to snapshot might be made next week before Jack goes on leave.
Owen suggested that the checklist approach could be useful in other apps such as Agreements and Licenses.
Homework - controlling the visibility of checklist items
The homework (doc) was discussed https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Bse9L1lU7EU__3XYEFn0lZWWICTsRSduEi8E5qYhez8/edit?usp=sharing
Use of "Status" is confusing at the moment as there's only one status. Users preferred option B, the show/hide function.
When an item is hidden there is no need to expand the accordion to show where the item has moved to.
A callout message confirming the deletion would be useful, providing that it disappears automatically.
The icons were discussed - tick, cross and dash.
There was some uncertainty about the meaning of the "x" and "-" icons but an agreement was made to go with the current suggested icon set and to review once people have had chance to use the checklist.
Owen explained that the checklist can be used in two ways:
1 Action: Done, Not done, Other (which for example may mean "in progress", or "outstanding")
2 Outcome: Passed, Failed, Other or Met, Not met and Other.
The options will probably be renamed to "Yes", "No" or "Other" to ensure that their meaning is very general and to enable users to decide which of 1 or 2 above applies to their requests.
