Minutes
Development progress
- start with Orchid release plans in next sprint
- there is a delay to Morning Glory release - maybe that means additional time for Nolana - Owen will clarify
- there is work in progress on ability to share dashboards
- team is working on aspects of GOKb harvesting - making it more efficient among other things
- question in chat by Felix: Can we postpone the topic "Feedback on changes to e-resources (local KB) search September 2022" till the next meeting? I did not have a change to work on the document and no one else did, as it is empty. But I can do it in the next 2 weeks.
Yes, Owen is happy to do that
New search options for Agreements and Agreement Lines
- Homework document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SCkPOlOF2KYtg3ZZ1Ga0Z72ypJbzzKBF_StNFV4Sp-Q/edit?usp=sharing
- initial implementation - now asking for feedback
- usually this goes the other way round; some parts have been discussed in different calls
Agreement text search option
- option A: Responsive check-boxes
- option B: Drop-down list
- option C: Multi-select field
- in Inventory and Orders drop down lists are used to select search options - difference: earch options are no combinations
- in Agreements: offers different combinations -
- Sara in chat: But you can search in combo with the Query Search. - Owen agrees
- Kristin: question is what combinations would be needed - is a fundamental question - some combinations look weird; votes against the drop-down lists
- Owen asks for use cases to learn about needed combinations
- Jack: that's why gravitating towards the check-boxes; to not miss combinations at some point in the future
- Option multi-select:
- Jack: UI makes no sense to me - would take longer than check-boxes
- Zorian in chat: +1 to what Jack just said
- Result: Preferred option is A
- question: what should the "reset all" button return to
- opinions differ
- customizable behaviour could solve the issue
Agreement lines search
- need ability to set options on behaviour
- question: If we assume that we can make changes to the current behaviour of automatically returning search results across all parts of the Agreements app, what would your preferred behaviour be?
- different opinions and preferred behaviour
- AGLs should not be consistent with Agreements; but with behaviour elsewhere
- Jack in chat: Is it possible that the header of the first column changes if we have the internal KB setting toggled off?
- Owen: might be
- we might come back to this question
- question in chat by Zorian: the Agreement line search tab will appear on the eHoldings app or the Agreements app?
- Owen: it is in Agreements
Please have a look at the questions if you did not find the time so far.
ERM SIG will pick up in 2 weeks time.

Von Zorian Sasyk (he/him) an alle 02:14 PM
What is the default for this kind of behavior in other parts of FOLIO?
Von Felix Hemme (ZBW) an alle 02:15 PM
But that's how the filters work in all aps right now.
Von Sara Colglazier (MHC/5C) an alle 02:17 PM
But you can search in combo with the Query Search.
I was not suggesting it for ERM but just saying ...
Von Felix Hemme (ZBW) an alle 02:19 PM
Owen, I have to leave shortly but do you also address "Agreements: Add ability to search over all indexed fields with one search" from ERM implementers?
Von Owen Stephens an alle 02:23 PM
The short answer is no - we aren't addressing that question here Felix
Von Zorian Sasyk (he/him) an alle 02:24 PM
+1 to what Jack just said
Von Jessica Harris (she/her) an alle 02:45 PM
That sounds good to me. Thank you!
Von Zorian Sasyk (he/him) an alle 02:54 PM
possibly dumb question: the Agreement line search tab will appear on the eHoldings app or the Agreements app?
Von Jack Mulvaney an alle 02:56 PM
Is it possible that the header of the first column changes if we have the internal KB setting toggled off?
Von Zorian Sasyk (he/him) an alle 03:01 PM
