• last name, first name and preferred name

  • preferred first name shows up exclusively

  • search for given name possible (Shown in parenthesis)

  • search by preferred first name as well

  • if at check-out and entering barcode: preferred first name shows up

  • same is true if look up requests: if searching for a patron by preferred first name → preferred first name will come up

  • preferred first name shows up as proxy borrower as well

• custom fields: can search custom field, and filter 

• if free text custom field they searchable in search field

• custom fields for users are set in settings

• it can be defined in settings whether free texts fields are searchable across the board (users/check-out)

• User permissions on user record

  • unassign all permissions button is avilable

  • this is set behind a specific permissions that you have to have

  • role-circ-manager is permission that allows the button to appear

• delete user with check for open transactions (Kiwi) - needs extra permission

• continue to work on protecting fields: if user wants to protect a particular field or a particular field for a user → this is something user management is working on

• Laura: what do the settings look like for custom fields?

• go to Settings → Users → Custom fields

  • field label can be set; define whether custom field is required or not required

  • add custom field: different options can be chosen from a drop-down (e.g. multi-select, single select)

  • for mutli-select: several answer options can be added and labeled

  • text based custom fields can be made searchable in search box

  • others non-text fields can be made filterable

  • Charlotte: is there a way to define the order? → not for the filter, but the order can be changed for the user record itself

  • the order for the custom fields on the user record can be changed in settings 

• Group wishes to come back to printing records, especially user records

• deleting user records is available since Kiwi, preferred names and custom fields will be in Lotus
