Agenda topics:
- No meeting on 19 October
- 050 mapping issue
- - MODSOURMAN-882Getting issue details... STATUS
- Finalize expected behavior
- 2 050s Instance: keep current behavior
- 2 050s Holdings/Item: only take data from 1st 050 if there are multiple
- 1 050 with 2 $a Instance: Split at 2nd $a if possible
- 1 050 with 2 $a Holdings/Item: Use 1st $a (and $b if mapped); ignore any subsequent $a's
- OCLC prefers call numbers from the bottom up, so starts with 090, then moves up from there (to the bottom-most 050, if multiples)
- Apply to other repeatable fields/subfields that populate non-repeatable fields? Only with regards to classification?
- 060 NLM (in the default MARC-Instance map): Handle same as 050 for Instance, Holdings/Item
- 080 UDC (in the default MARC-Instance map): Switch the default instance map, no need to change holdings/item handling
- 082 Dewey (in the default MARC-Instance map): No changes for now; revisit in the future if necessary
- Usually only has classification in it, not the Cutter per Raegan Wiechert 092 used for library's full call number
- 082 is the most commonly used classification field in Latin America, per Alexander Soto
- 086 GDC (in the default MARC-Instance map): No change to default instance map; use 1st if multiple 086s in the record
- 090 (in the default MARC-Instance map): Handle same as 050 for Instance, Holdings/Item
- 092 (not in the default MARC-Instance map): No changes (probably only 1 $a and 1 $b, and only 1 092 field in the record) revisit in the future if necessary
- Update on Importing MARC to create orders
- A-M add notes
- Update individual MARC fields (and by extension, Instance fields)
- Confirm - examples supplied? (existing MARC Bib, update MARC Bib, expected FOLIO behavior, send to A-M via Slack or e-mail)
- leeda.adkins@duke.edu : From KB provider: brief update - basic bib info plus an 856; don't want to touch the existing 245, 26x, 6xx, 7xx, etc.
- Jenn Colt : add multiple 903s for HathiTrust info, when the existing bib only has one 903
- Lloyd Chittenden : updates from authority vendors - only want to update authorized fields
- Christie Thomas : Adding OCLC numbers to existing records SLACK
- leeda.adkins@duke.edu : RDA update fields (33xs) E-MAIL
- Jennifer Eustis : Commitment statements (583/506) E-MAIL

STATUS
From Leeda Adkins to Everyone 01:03 PM
I'm on vacation Weds Nov. 2
From Leeda Adkins to Everyone 01:12 PM
Our system currently populates from the 1st 050
That explains why our WorldShare records usually have labels with the second call no, thanks Raegan! That has puzzled me
From Christie Thomas (she/her) to Everyone 01:19 PM
I think that this is fine.
From Leeda Adkins to Everyone 01:37 PM
That's triggering a memory of when Duke used Dewey, we used 092
From Jennifer Eustis (she/her) to Everyone 01:37 PM
We don't have any dewey
From Lynne Fors to Everyone 01:38 PM
We use 092, but nothing new is coming in as Dewey. We reclass in LC
From Alex Soto to Everyone 01:39 PM
In LATAM 082 is the most common tag for libraries,
From jeanette kalchik to Everyone 01:43 PM
The 086 might need to be reviewed more
I know if there are multiple items it might have multiple 086 ex OCLC 1319732919
