Requirement: Authority Source File requirements discussion 

Need: As a cataloger, I want to view results based on source of the authority record so that I can manage my authority records effectively. 

• Approach: Create an Authority Source file facet 

• This facet will leverage the 001 field. Assume 001 is the Authority Source unique identifier. Will check for the prefix.

  • LC Name Authority file (LCNAF)
    LC Subject Headings (LCSH)
    LC Children's Subject Headings
    Faceted Application of Subject Terminology (FAST)
    Medical Subject Headings (MeSH)
    LC Genre/Form Terms (LCGFT)
    LC Medium of Performance Thesaurus for Music (LCMPT)

• Via Settings > Allow a library to setup their own values

  • How to handle local authority records
