Time | Item | Who | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
5 | Welcome and update | Dale | Welcome to new participants. Note taker for this week: Christie Question from Patty Wanninger: I no longer have this meeting on my calendar. Is there a way to extend the calendar invite? – Will resend request to the entire group. |
30 | Requests | Various | We will be reviewing requests for the first part of the hour. Spreadsheet is here. Question: How will this data will be presented to users and linked to loans? Will this have any impact on the data model? Very few gaps have been identified. Is this because there are fewer gaps, or because this is work that still needs to be done? / There is some gap feedback on the main spreadsheet that needs to be moved to gaps. Question: Are the FOLIO elements on the main spreadsheet up to date? / Yes, according to what is in github. Recommendation that requests is ready to be passed on to the PO for feedback from the Resource Access SIG. Cheryl will review the main spreadsheet and move any gap feedback to the gap analysis page. |
20 | Finance | Dennis, Ann-Marie, and various | Begin discussion on Finance. Funds, budgets, ledgers, and fiscal years are reportedly fairly complete. Hopefully, some people will have looked at them and can give us an idea of what to look out for. Urgently need a spreadsheet for the data elements so that a gap analysis can begin. A separate spreadsheet is required for each domain (finance, funds, budgets, ledgers). Users may need to send a request to get access to sub-docs from the (Acquisitions Interface Fields) spreadsheet. Question: Upcoming changes to the data elements in the current model; what impact will this have on the data model? / The spreadsheets should reflect the latest changes to the data model. Best source for the current data elements: https://dev.folio.org/reference/api/. This is the most recent information (ahead of development). Demo of the finances module from Dennis Bridges. Structure:
Finance Module documentation for the Acquisitions Small Group: Acquisitions Finance Module. Questions: How to provide an informed gap analysis. Is this something that we can do at this point? Questions: How much data migration of acquisitions data really happens? What are the categories of acquisitions data that will need to be migrated? What are the implications of the structure on what can be migrated? Question: Is there a data model function that the data migration SIG should be performing? / There is already a spreadsheet that details all of the fields, but not all elements have robust details about how the data will be used, though there is some description of fields. See the Finance tab on Acquisitions Interface Fields. This may be a good place to start as it is more complete than the interface. What to work on next? Possibly migration of historical data, but knowledge of the FOLIO structure is required. Probably requires two weeks to make progress. Next steps: Reach out within institutions and reconvene in two weeks. Sharon Beltaine will generate the gap analysis spreadsheet for Finance. |
