- Q: difference between contact and coressponding author
- contact author = person in contact with the library
- corresponding author = person person in contact with the publisher
- persons/authors can have more than one affiliation
- only corresponding authors with affiliation to resp. university can profit from funds
- Q: other persons?
- no answer
- Q: Departement / relation to person
- most check author affiliation on Google/LDAP/RIS etc. and check if they are member of university/ which faculty/dept.
- Chat: Astrid: It is quite common that the author affiliation changes through the publication process, because the might leave/change, especially if it takes longer time. Institutions decide if the old or new one will be used (for payment and also for the "honor" of the publication).
- relation to faculty important for reporting or a certain number of publication per faculty
- info from which fund/faculty invoice will be paid from / maybe also for payment splits over price caps
- Q: other aspects about people?
- Eloisa: identify people by ticket number (help desk system); also internal number for persons (manually generated on spreadsheet)
- ORCiD
- whether a person belongs to a certain project (funding stream)
- Things beeing published
- Q: More than journal articles, chapters, books?
- in future research dataset
- Q: how detailed should ressource description be?
- in DEAL it is important to distinguish between research and non-research article
- Q: How is decision making from what fund will be payed?
- DFG will fund OA different for books and articles
- via RIS and project entity
- sometimes receive invoice after publication, then possible to look for research funder in the article
- sometimes it is not known directly where the research is funded from (you have to ask)
- Q: More than journal articles, chapters, books?
