| 2024 Goals |
| What do we want to do as a SIG in 2024? - Keep up on development & projects :
- INN-Reach, ECS, and OpenRS
- Follow MOBIUS, Galileo, LoC implementations
- Define our priorities as a SIG and discuss how to support/influence/encourage development in those areas
- How does the Consortia SIG impact ECS development?
- ATM — we don’t have direct influence
- Contracts (with funding) for functionality drives development
- How/can we have more impact going forward?
- What tends to happen is that when migrating, someone wants a fringe or obscure feature of the old systems and then that gets put in the new system, and things get bloated and complicated with features that seem like they should be related and cohesive implemented in totally different ways within the same platform (ie. access management and statistics get like this).
- Research how a library might move from a single tenant to multi-tenant environment enabled by ECS functionality
- How to migrate?
- Pros & Cons?
- Gap list on consortial functions
- Are there software/tools/projects that we can advocate for integration with FOLIO?
- Next steps :
- Corrie to create a wiki page to track and collect thoughts on these
