Agreements and Licenses Iris Release Summary	Owen Stephens	new features: UXPRODs But the whole list of improvements are in the ERM google drive in the slides HERE that denote these improvements 30 bugs or issues have been found Agreements start and end dates have been added Support for Previous, current, and next periods of agreements Easier to see all periods and the interface is designed to make the view easier to work with Comment from the chat (UMass is very happy the new period/date management is arriving in Iris - it will be very helpful for how we're using Agreements! ) The ability to use custom URLS, say for proxy information, is being added from chat (And at Duke we're glad to see the ability to add duplicate license amendments - thank you! ) Now, the Inventory title can be linked from the Agreement Also, agreements data lines that are not being used, then they are not displayed when they have no data in them Same approach to licenses in the display view (non-edit) Other improvements, described as 'tidying up'he aesthetics of the Agreements display Dashboard to be able to see LOTS of information from one place, specifically for the user interfacing with the system: Originally leveraged for ERM apps, but can display data from any application across FOLIO Other POs are being worked with to expand this dashboard functionality the dashboard is a widget that is displayed after the 'dashboard' app is clicked - where it is listed alongside all the other apps New Widget displays, can be created with specific search criteria (different widget types) Display changes with the screen quality, size, resolution, etc from chat (If we had ideas for widgets not related to Agreements or Licenses, how should we advocate for them? Speak to that apps PO? Speak to you Owen? ) from chat (I pinged Khalilah during the presentation at the last ERM meeting about eHoldings assets not attached to an agreement but obviously that's a step ahead of actually integrating eHoldings with the dashboard ) from chat (I really like the direction this is going) Later on, more apps can be brought into this, sometime in the summer 2021 (but not before) Talk to Owen and to the relavant PO in order to advocate for needed widgets in the dashboard from chat (This is just as exciting as it was in the last ERM SIG ) FOLIO's structure does not always allow 2-way relationships, re: data issues, agreements, etc chat about how to link agreements to POL so that there is this 2-way relationship It is a directional linking and relationship But if that link is stored in 2 places, there is also the issue os data integrity and proper syncing from chat (The human workaround is that the Order really becomes the top level record, with inventory and agreements linking out from Orders and other records then linking off of those ) An argument would be made that the agreement stored the order information, as opposed to the opposite from chat (It is extremely helpful to have the title in the PO line display. We have so many titles in our ERM that don't match the title in our ILS )
