5min | Courses vs Reserves vs Course Reserves? | Terminology first! The SIG is "Reserves" the epic is "Courses". Can we settle on one term, or is there a logic behind the current naming? Jarmo - "We should call them course reserves or reserves in short. While the current model assumes that a reserve is always associated with a course I do know that some lectures keep a kind of general reserve that serves multiple different (non-crosslisted) courses. So we should assume that we are creating a reserve foremost, and the association with a course is optional." "Reserves" may mean booking, or holding the item (making an appointment) for a particular kind. May be called Reading Room functionality. Agreed on "Course Reserves" for the Epic. Courses for the Course information. Reserves are items in a course. | |
