Data Import Permissions
When using Data Import to create or update FOLIO records, a user must have permissions within Data Import as well as appropriate permission in the related applications, e.g. creating or updating records in Inventory, Invoices, or Orders.
The following permissions may be assigned to a user working with Data Import:
- Data import: Can upload files, import, and view logs
- This is the standard permission for data import users who should be able to import files, but are not permitted to delete data import logs. Note that a user MUST also have at least Settings (Data import): Can view only in order to see the details of the job profile that they are assigning to an uploaded file.
- Data import: Can delete import logs
- If a user is permitted to delete data import logs, assign this permission in addition to the standard permission above
- Data import: Can view only
- Assign this permission if a user only needs to view logs and details of import jobs (e.g. check to see if an Inventory Single Record Import has completed) but is NOT permitted to import files using the Data Import app
- Settings (Data import): Can view, create, edit, and remove
- This is the standard permission for users who should be able to make any edits to data import settings
- Settings (Data import): Can view only
- This permission allows users to view all data import settings, but not make any changes to them
- Add Inventory Single record import permission
- Add Consortial share local instance permission
