  2. Implementers topics actions update

Minutes

Development progress -  ERM Sprint 127

  • Entitlement log
  • changes to dashboard widgets
    • there is one column that is added automatically
    • there cannot be 2 columns that are the same
  • new display for people using the internal KB
    • settings for internal KB → sync status is displayed; cursor (most up to date records from external source), last checked
  • question by Sara in chat: Q: tangentially related to the first thing you were talking about: in Agreements > Supp Props > Note ... about Public or Internal ... Public so far for us seems to only mean for the View view, rather than Edit mode. But is it to mean true Public if/when we have FOLIO linked up to a Discover layer? Or, to some other system like an ILL system?
    • Owen: the intention is that the discovery layer gets back the terms that are entered as publicly visible
      • Sara: the public note is only viewable in view mode when the term/property visibility is set to public;
      • user does not see the public note in view mode when property set to internal visibility → yes, that is correct
      • do we need to change this behaviour
        • no one disagrees - so this behaviour will be changed
      • Jack in chat: An example of how we're using supp. properties is for recording Resource URLs - if the resource has
This is where I'm running into some of the limitations with how the supp. properties were configured based on the license terms
It's definitely a last resort sort of thing for me to use the public field
      • Owen has set up a new Epic in Jira for supplementary properties (UXPROD-3405)
      • there are 6 issues in this Epic at the moment
  • bugfixes and additional releases for Kiwi to try and fix some issues; the team was able to do this before the close of the Kiwi release
  • small UX improvements
  • extra keyboard shortcuts documented - standard list across apps, that can be modified within the apps
  • Adi, a frontend dev, is leaving his current position and will no longer be working on the ERM apps from the end of this month

Implementers topics actions update

  • line 40: settings for licenses and license terms
    • series of stories created
      • freeze new button, so that it  is always visible
    • new epic form ERM custom properties - work continues
  • line 42: term status - inactive or deprecated
    • same for suppl. property
    • there is a feature now for it
  • line 43: Agreement Lines: Count column for titles versus packages
    • request to show the selected out of the total for single titles (0/1 or 1/1); was available for the number of selected titles within a package already; so display is now the same
    • for agreements without content/without linked agreement lines there is no count needed
      • the plan is to leave it empty of display a dash ("-")or a label such as n/a
        • preference of the group is a dash
        • Kristin in chat: It's multi-lingual
      • being able to control it as a user would not be trivial
      • would need to disconnect from EKB updates
      • are there use cases where eholdings users want to disconnect from updates from the EKB? → needs more discussion
      • Jack will add the request to the implementers topics
  • Julie in chat: Does anyone know whether we should still add an institution ranking value to newly created UXPROD jiras such as UXPROD-3407 - Getting issue details... STATUS ?
    • Kristin: there is a working group that tries to find out a different process to prioritize features
    • maybe roadmap will help
    • discussions in SIGs
    • Owen: until we have a new process, institutions can rank; rankings will be a flag for the POs
    • positive rankings especially; there is no difference between no rank and a low rank
  • line 44 - package metadata schema:
