Ramsons release updates

  • Bulk edit (Kanban Board)

  • Lists app (Kanban board)

    • Content permissions connected to Lists permissions

      • Example: User with Inventory permissions will see Record Types (Inventory) as options in Lists app. User with Users permissions will see Record Type (Users) as an option in the Lists app.

    • Build Query: Nesting entities in Record Type options; streamlining availability of fields; naming consistency

    • Filter: Add multiple Record Types

Follow up on Bulk edit MARC Instances

Proposed new UI for Ramsons release:

In scope for Ramsons, separate Instances bulk edit functionality into:

  • Administrative data

    • Bulk edit fields: Administrative note, Staff suppress, Suppress from discovery

    • Separates administrative data from all other fields in Instance record.

  • Instances with source FOLIO

    • Bulk edit includes all Instance notes as defined in Inventory settings. Current mockup does not include Administrative data options. Administrative data is listed as a separate option.

  • Instances with source MARC

    • Suggested to review with MM SIG.

Noted: Fields that are not in either Administrative data or in Instance records will not be able to be acted on using Bulk Edit.

Follow up from last week’s topic on being able to search by OCLC number or System Control number. I opened up 2 Jira issues. One is to bulk edit the instance, the other the MARC bib srs. I can think of use cases to bulk edit the instance for the administrative fields. Does anyone have use cases to be able to bulk update the marc srs bib?
