Call number searching vs. call number browse use cases Christine Schultz-Richert~"Understanding more about use cases for searching for specific types (such as searching LC classifications) in "Call numbers (all)" instead of using the LC browse option"

MODQM-256 User can enter {dollar} or {$} to handle literal $

Christie Thomas

Can we have a volunteer to provide updates from the quickmarc group to the MM SIG to raise issues such as this one that need broader dissemination and communication, and to provide more general updates to the group on what is happening with quickmarc.

How are individuals catching records with a literal $ when editing records?

How are institutions working around searching and processing errors introduced by the lack of a literal $ in the records?

How are corrupted records discovered?

FOLIO Roadmap and prioritization process: Successfully gathered information.

Relevant Jira dashboard for Metadata management roadmapAcquisition roadmap and ERM roadmap, incl. the Jira dashboards for the flower releases - Quesnelia and Ramsons

Kirstin Martin highlighted how the SIG reports feed into provide a status on the progress on the different roadmaps.

Martina Schild followed with an update on the Prioritizations pilot project - see the Acquisition/Resource Management implementers prioritization wiki page. 140 topics by now. The SIG conveners were really excited about this prioritization work, but did also raise some concerns about the workload, and who to write up the Jira tickets, especially for large areas, with only one product owner. The SIG conveners role has been defined, but adding this would be yet another task. To be discussed further at WOLFcon. Martina Schild suggested a new role for SME members at the SIG, who would be responsible to write these Jira tickets; maybe follow the Gherkin Syntax

WOLFcon update:  WOLFcon 2024 site is up. Early bird registration by July 31, 2024. The call for proposals will be extended. Monday will be a pre-conference for FOLIO academy (workshop/hands on sessions), and Friday will be pre-conference with the three council meetings, and a Tri-council meeting.
