• Martina presented updates on the state of the Number Generator project being funded by Leipzig

• Number Generator is planned to be included in the Quesnalia release

• Initial implementation focuses on 5 fields:

  • Vendor Code

  • User Barcode

  • Accession Number

  • Call No

  • Item Barcode

• Detailed documentation on the usage of the Output Template field for number sequence configuration will be created and linked to directly from the UI

  • Question - Should (or will) adding direct links to the documentation from the UI become common practice in other areas of FOLIO?

• There will be 3 settings options in Users:

  • Number generator disabled

  • Number generator enabled but optional

  • Number generator enabled and mandatory

• Amelia confirmed that the view-only settings permission for the Users number generator settings should be included in the Settings (Users): Can view general entries permission.
